G Plan was founded in 1898 by Ebenezer Gomme. The early G plan Brandon range from 1953 carried the gold E Gomme brand stamp rather than the G Plan label. The Brandon range pre-dated G Plans more Danish influenced designs, and had its own very English post war utility style.

The range included sideboards, wardrobes and dressing tables. This is a lovely example of a Brandon gentleman's wardrobe, or Compactum, In light oak and veneer, the unit comprises a large cupboard with a push-catch opening, and a telescopic hanging rail, three spacious drawers on the right and a useful small cupboard below that with removable shelf within. The unit has been cleaned and given a light coat of Danish oil.

Gold stamp of G Plan E Gomme inside cupboard door. Size: width 88cm x depth 46cm x. Condition: very good vintage condition.
