1958 Airstream/Silver Streak Jet 19' travel trailer
Here is one of the coolest trailers out there for you to be the next owner of. She is a 1958 silver streak "jet" bumper pull travel. Many tin can/canned ham enthusiast feel the silver streak trailers were. Made a step above the iconic airstream due to the way they were. Silver streak made less than 20 trailers/month and built them.
They are not the modular insert type construction of the. Many feel that the silver steak were better, more durable construction why you wont find many out there since they did not make near as many. From what i have read that the silver streak cost a little more than the iconic airstream.
Can find out more information about silver streaks just by internet search. She has been nearly fully restored and pretty much original other than the refigerator. She is 16' long of travel trailer and 19' from bumper to hitch. Has a toilet only no shower.
Repainted interior egg shell white. Also new lighting in kitchen and dining and light on ceiling. New rubber gaskets in all doors, all window cranks work great, some has been replaced with new ones.
Original bargman door handle with key and it does lock. Also all storage door have keys and they also lock. The original three burner princess. Stove, and original propane wall heater. New porcelain toilet and after market general electric refrigerator are fully.Also has two storage drawers under bed. Model also has the exterior door that can open up but leaves the screen door in. Has new oak plank vinyl flooring, new curtains that are customed made with a 60's theme. I think it looks great, also has new tail lights, and seven prong plug, has new rear vent/ sky light, two new tires and one good spare. Two propane tanks one full.
This model is a park model it is 110 only, hot water heater is electric and frigerator is electric. When i bought this trailer the title said it was a 1968 but did some research and found out it was a 1958 by the serial number 4-270, went to the motor vehicle dept to see if i could get it changed they told me i couldn't, they told me that the person that i bought it from must have lost the title or just didn't register it tell 1968. Has a little damage on top next to the rear vent, also has a little damage under side on driver's side, no leaks.
