Danish Beechwood Armchairs Niels Eilersen Bentwood Retro Vintage Mid-Century
Danish bentwood beech and leather chairs. A truly remarkable pair of Danish beech bentwood chairs having several intriguing features the first being the horseshoe shaped backrest, made from three separate pieces of solid beechwood fashioned into a "horseshoe" shape this form also produces the chairs armrests offering a very comfortable seating position. The other feature being the steam bent back legs, these gently curve towards the front of the chair to support the chairs backrest leaving a very unique and clean look, particularly when viewed in profile. Both chairs have been re-upholstered in leather giving them a new lease of life and practical enough for everyday use. The upholstery has been replaced while the beechwood has been stripped and polished cleaned, though newly re-upholstered please do take into account the chairs are still over fifty decades old.
