Deco Green Amber bakelite phenolic catalin Carvacraft Inkwell + Clock 1488g
Both pieces have their issues but there is a lot of phenolic here. The carvacraft inkwell weighs 846g, it has had a break to one side as you can see and a piece has been re-stuck, the little inkpots are missing but there is no other damage and the colour is wonderful. I was going to keep them but they just don't look right in my collection. The clock is working and keeping good time should you want to keep it as a clock that is. The chrome bezel has wear and pitting and there is some discolouration to the face but it is still a nice thing. The clock case looks like it is a brown/amber colour but when a light is shone through it and the less exposed areas are shown, it is evident that it was a green clock to start with. The base oblong strip that you can see in the last two photos is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks at all. It is 24 x 4.6 x 1.2cms and weighs 173g. The case itself weighs 469g, it is 1.8cms thick but it has extensive internal cracking throughout, some of the material is definitely usable as you can see but i will leave you to be the judge of just how much. I can send the clock case without the mechanism should you so wish.
