Impressive Vintage Retro Dumler Breiden West German Pottery Vase MID Century
IMPRESSIVE VINTAGE RETRO DUMLER BREIDEN WEST GERMAN POTTERY VASE MID CENTURY. STUNNING RETRO WEST GERMAN POTTERY VASE. Presenting a magnificent retro West German pottery vase created and marked by the Dumler Breiden factory.
This impressive example is wonderfully glazed with a mottled matte slate grey glaze to the neck and shoulder spilling over a luscious rich glossy green glaze to the rounded body. Fabulously thick and chunky deep dark brown and near black glazes appear where the thick glazes meet. Wonderful random effects and a stunning range of tonal variations are created as the glazes blend and combine.
A beautiful rainbow iridescence can be seen throughout the glossy green glaze. The interior of the vessel has been finished in a glossy deep, dark grey (near black) adding a fabulous depth to the form. This striking vase has a sleekly curved, globular shaped body leading to a slender, gently flared neck. The perfectly proportioned body wonderfully flaunts the exquisite glaze combination.This fabulous West German pottery vase is presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some light surface crazing to the green glaze and interior, noticeable only on close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. This exquisite vase has been exceptionally well cared for and presents spectacularly. This impressive vase stands approx 295mms tall and measures 1215mms in diameter. This stunning example is beautifully marked and numbered to the base with the crossed "DB" mark along with "121/30 Germany".
