Acquired from an estate, this listing is for a Rare 1962 Mid-Century Modern Austin Cox Enterprises Chess Set. Designed by Austin Cox for Austin Enterprises. The pieces are made of aluminum with the white pieces being natural aluminum and the black pieces being black anodized aluminum on the non-cut surfaces. The set is in the original wall mountable wooden display case with blue plexi-glass sliding lid. The pieces range in size from 3-7/8" tall pawns to 4-3/4" to 5 tall kings, queens, knights and bishops. The wooden case measures 30-3/4 l.
