S-Vietri, Italian Pottery: Fish Platter & Six Piece Plate Set, Hand Painted, Eames Era. Vietri, likely from the 1960s.
The set consists of six (6) unusual, hand-painted plates shaped like fish, featuring undersea life: fish, octopus, etc. The plates are each different with three fish and three octopi. Dish measures approximately 9" x 8 3/4". The colors are great vibrant with no crazing or fading, The plates are thick well-made pieces.Each one also has a small ridge on it mimicking a gill. There is great attention to detail on these pieces.
The difficult piece to find, however, is the amazing fish platter. Its dimensions are 16 x 14 and it displays great design and color. Note the ridges and paint work on the edges for example very nice.
Besides being complete, this set is also is in excellent condition - it looks unused. Please see photos for condition and color. Here is an opportunity to get a great set of.
