Early Eames Herman Miller LCM Lounge Chair w/Prototype Seat Mounts, ca. This rare LCM features transitional metal sleeves that reinforce the intersection of the front shock mounts and the base. The early experiments with the welded rubber yielded a number of working solutions to the problem of attaching plywood to a metal frame.

In this example, a coupling was incorporated around the front legs that surrounds the leg and is subsequently attached to the rubber mounts with a screw. This rare Eames chair would make a great addition to your mid-century modern collection. This is only the second one I have seen with this prototype design. The LCM would work well in any décor featuring Widdicomb, Robsjohn Gibbings, Hans Wegner, Bertoia, Saarinen, Nakashima, Hansen, Herman Miller, Knoll. Please check out my other auctions for original 1961 Eames Hang it All by Tigrett Enterprises, Pioneer PL 50 turntable, Bose Wave Radio, Margaret Keane 1962 Big Eyes print, Parker 75 sterling silver fountain pen & pencil set from 1965, and a ca.

1940s CA policemans leather motorcycle jacket. Eames Design: The Work of the Office of Charles and Ray Eames.
