Due to the color and shape of his head, unfamiliar flea market dealers labeled him as a Martian, and his pixie cousins would soon be shackled with the same association. The Olives pixie wears his own namesake on his nose - an olive with two leaves. His left eye winks, and if you look closely, his pimento smile is very apparent. He has 10 stripes that match his head coloring.
The Cherries, Onions and Olives were produced in two varieties - one for barware as indicated by "cocktail" on the jar; and one for regular condiment use that just has the condiment name on the jar. The "Cocktail" pixies were advertised with the Devil's Brew, 300 Proof and Whiskey liquor decanters, and the liquor bottle bracelets - they were called the Happy Party Gremlins. " As time passed, the lettering "cocktails was removed from the jars as a marketing strategy to remove the bar and alcohol association.
