Very Fine Amber Butterscotch ART DECO BAKELITE Carvacraft Inkwell - PRISTINE. PLEASE SEE ALL MY PHOTOGRAPHS WHICH ALSO FORM PART OF MY ITEM DESCRIPTION. This is a gorgeous period 1930s / 40s Art Deco desktop accessory. It is a beautifully decorative inkwell for a fine Poirot inspired Art Deco interior. The inkwell is very stylised in shape - as you can see from my photographs.

It is a single inkwell. The well section is made of black bakelite and is the original reservoir - when not in use there is a sliding cover with slips over the top of the well section. The main body of the inkwell is made of a dazzling butterscotch colour with subtle chocolate marbling...

The colour certainly glows and the surface is lovely and shiny that it almost glistens - there are no sratches or chips - as fine an example of collectable Carvacraft that you might find. Looks almost good enough to eat! Dickinson Product - Made in England. It is a nice size - measuring 6 3/4 x 6 1/2 cm and at the tallest point is 2 1/2 inches in height (17 x 16.5 x 6 cm). Priced to sell with no reserves.
