Vintage 60s DANISH Ceiling Pendant Light TEAK Retro Mid Century Chandelier Lamp
For Sale: A Mid Century Vintage Danish Teak & Glass Ceiling Light. A particularly nice design and sort after style of this type of lighting, a true period piece. Although it has no makers mark it very much says Danish / Scandinavian in style and 1960s in date. The lighting consists of three hanging pendant frosted glass lamp shades, each topped with a conical teak wood holder.
The drop is then achieved by the three wires going through a boomerang shaped teak wooden holder to space the lamps at different heights. The wires are then threaded through a plastic rose to feed into the ceiling electrics. There is a metal bracket inside the rose that you can remove, screw into the ceiling then fix the rose back in place.
This light is therefore ready to hang! This particular example is in very good condition, the attractive teak shows is clean with a bit of minor edge wear to one of the cones, the frosted glass is in very good condition, only a couple of edge nibbles on close inspection on one of the shades. I have tried to how in the photographs how it hangs and also the general condition of the various pieces.
The bulb fixing is a bayonet type. Dimension are: Glass shades with wooden top H 24cm x W 13cm The three lengths of wire are: 105cm, 82cm & 24cm. Overall a beautiful unusual centre piece that would work well in a Mid Century inspired setting or contemporary room. Please see my other vintage items for sale.
