Vintage Holt Howard Lil' Sugar and Cream Creamer Crock Pixie Pixieware
HP244 - Wonderful sugar/cream with no chips, cracks, or staining. Lil' Sugar jar was advertised in Holt-Howard's catalog as follows: Aqua striped little girl with a little red curl just right for the middle of your table.. The phrase Lil' Sugar is very significant here since this pixie is shorter than all her cousins.
She measures 5 high - a half inch shorter than the rest of the Pixieware clan. Although most of her pixie cousins' heads measure 2-1/2" to 2-5/8" ear to ear, she has the smallest head, measuring only 2-1/4 wide.
Accordingly, her sugar bowl is much smaller than the rest of the Pixiewares' bowls. The Lil' Sugar's aqua bow in her hair matches the 10 aqua stripes on her jar. She comes equipped with her very own personalized matching Cream Crock which measures 2-3/4 high; it also has 10 aqua stripes. The Cream Crock was not designed with a pixie head.
This piece, along with the Olives jar were two of the first winking pixies to be created by Holt-Howard. Check out my other items.
