Vintage Mid Century Black & Tropical Cocktail Drinks Cabinet Retro BOHO 60s Bar
This item started out in the 1960's as a chic and quirky cabinet with original silk-screened Gold and Black to the twin glass sliding doors. We spent several months working on how it would best be reimagined as a bold statement in our clients home.
We removed all the main components and sympathetically re-crafted them. The rich tropical backdrop was added and hand-finished with acrylic paint to subtly emphasise some of the snakes, palm fronds, birds, frogs and butterflies to help them pop just a little extra and to add to the pieces uniqueness. We can confidently say this is a perfect statement piece. By deciding what to renew and what patina to retain, we think we have kept sufficient originality and fresh re-working in. It is 113.5cm wide and 91cm tall.
It has two glass shelves. LED lighting is self-contained and switchable just inside the door. There are two sliding doors that travel in top and bottom grooves rails.
To each side, there is further full height and width glazing which adds lightness. International buyers are welcomed with the same open arms as domestic clients and are properly catered for. Juniper also photographs items here a bit differently from most. She tries to put everything on a clean background and applies the settings that create as sharp an image as possible.
