Vintage Psychedelic 1967 Hapshash Erotica Poster by English & Waymouth- UFO Club
UFO Coming- #104 in the Osiris. Collectible psychedelic erotica poster series. This is an original vintage Hapshash poster designed by Michael English & Nigel Waymouth in June, 1967 for the UFO Club. The club was home to early shows by Pink Floyd. This poster advertises concerts featuring Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Soft Machine & the Liverpool Love Festival.
This poster is in pristine condition. There are no holes, no tears, smooth edges and minimal creasing. This poster measures just shy of 20 X 30. This poster has been in my possession since 1973.
The poster is not numbered; the only marking is HAPSHASH & THE COLOURED COAT written into the detail along the right side. This poster is clearly 50 years old. This poster is made of the old heavier poster stock, you can see the impression of the poster on the back from the amount of ink and you can tell there were different print runs for different colors of ink since there is some overlap.
Again, this poster has been in my possession since 1973. My father rented apartments in the 60s and 70s and a tenant left several Hapshash posters and no one ever came back to claim them. The posters were laying flat in an old portfolio in a storage closet in the basement. This poster and the rest of the posters were rolled up and stored over the years. Please feel free to contact me.
