Vintage Raak Bubble Lamp Danish/Mid-Century Modern Atomic Space Age Retro
Please scroll down the page to see more pictures. Label on bottom reads raak amsterdam made in holland d. Spun aluminum construction with a large smoked glass sphere/globe/bubble shade. All original except for it originally came with a half mirrored light bulb. I have an oversized 4 light bulb in it for display. A smaller bulb would center up inside the bubble. Lower tulip base is 12 1/4" diameter by 7 1/4" tall. Bubble shade is around 13 diameter.
Overall height assembled is 16. On/off switch is built into the wiring and works good, wiring in good shape.
Aluminum has some scratches and you might want to polish it. Steel hardware inside the base shows some rust when you look in the hole from the underside. At the time of listing i have 3 of these complete with bubble shades and another that has no shade. The 3rd one out the door has a very small partial chip to the underside of the shade that sets in the ring retainer and is unseen and a short scratch. All have their acrylic ring retainers that give the shade base ring the correct height. The items i sell might or might not be from a smoke free home. Most items are used and vintage and smoking occurred in almost 50% of the homes in the us at one time. Don't ask me to smell them because i cannot. 1 3/4 hours from washington dc. 10 minutes off of exit 4 of interstate 83 in pa.You pay them--i do not.
