VINTAGE RETRO WEST GERMAN POTTERY HANDLED VASE MID CENTURY MODERN EAMES ERA. EXCEPTIONALLY FINE AND IMPRESSIVE VINTAGE WEST GERMAN POTTERY VASE. Presenting a fabulous vintage West German pottery vase with an appealing clean-lined modernist form and a sensational vibrant glaze combination. This beautifully shaped handled vase has been spectacularly finished with a wide band of thick, glossy vibrant red and orange to the central body.
The thick radiant glazes beautifully drip over the form, blending and combining to create a wonderful range of tones, ensuring this stunning piece is totally unique and individual. Stunning mottled effects are formed as the glazes react together.
A brushed black spiral design appears to the top section of the red glazed area, the same tone appearing throughout the dripping glazes. The thick and chunky glazes have a magnificent texture adding a gorgeous tactile element to the design. A large handle connects the shoulder of the vessel with the rim, beautifully unifying the perfectly balanced form. The handle, top and lower section of the vessel has been finished in an earthy brown and cream mottled glaze. The neutral tones and matte finish perfectly contrast the vibrant glossy red body.
The interior of the vase is finished in a deep chocolate brown glaze adding a gorgeous depth to the form. This superb vase is marked to the base with raised lettering 484-27 W. This fabulous piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. This impressive vase stands approx 270mms tall measures 155mms in diameter excluding the handle and 190mms in width including the handle.
