VTG Mid Century RICHTER 1957 LUTE / GUITAR WALL WALL ART Ceramic Chalkware RETRO
Great mid century modern wall art hanging marked on the top "Richter, 1957". This piece is in very nice condition for its age considering it is a chalkware piece, most likely composed of a plaster like material.
If you are familiar with older chalkware pieces, then you know that most chalkware pieces, especially larger ones like this, have at least a few small noticeable chips or dings somewhere. But this piece is pretty clean all around (see pics)!! Very very minor light wear might possibly be found, as this piece is vintage in character, but it should be rather insignificant if you happen to find anything worth noting at all.... Really a unique piece of wall art as well, as the top piece of the lute/guitar is only connected to the bottom by way of strings. Honestly, at first this piece is a little annoying to get hung as you need to get the strings positioned perfectly so all parts hang correctly.
But with a little patience, once up on the wall there are no issues whatsoever, and this piece looks great! This piece of wall art will take a footprint of roughly 29.5" in length x 7.5" wide at the widest part at the bottom.
