Is a fabulous vintage Islamic Art Ottoman Strand of 12 pcs Cherry Amber Bakelite Beads. Beads are made of beautiful vintage Bakelite Faturan in an XL Barrel shape (all tested). Amber color, please note that swirls veins are not strongly not brightly so please exam the photos carefully.
It was hard to capture the color in the photos, there are a lot of photos under natural day-light and strong - light, Beads are a little different and i think even prettier in person. Restrung as shown with a new black cord. Good condition with age and usage wear.
Is a vintage as found untouched original example. We do not clean or polish our vintage or antique Bakelite items we have found that most collectors prefer to do it themselves.

Bakelite color: Cherry Amber Swirls: Swirled Veined Smoke-effect, but "Not-Strongly/Not-Brightly"(please see photos). Tested: Smell/Test: Nice Smell when rubbed or under hot water --- Simi/Test: (+) positive for Bakelite (please see photos). Age approx: Late Ottoman empire period (1920-30).

2.3 cm / 0.905. 2.2 cm / 0.866. 1.92 cm / 0.755. 1.85 cm / 0.728. Beads shows signs of wear commensurate with age and use, shows wear with slight surface scratches and contact marks, but all beads are with no chips, cracks, breaks or any restoration.
Two of the beads shows constructor faults with edge missing parts. All beads shows imperfections, have inclose dark black materials unknown to me and tiny crater because of these constructor faults, which likely was formed during melting. Comes in a jewelry box as pictured. 1.417 inches or 3.6 cm Tall. 2.047 inches or 5.2 cm Wide.
9.015 inches or 22.9 cm Long. 144.3 gr or 5.090 oz (empty). The exterior of the Box blue velvet is in a very good condition, clean without wear, scratches, tears, stains, holes, discoloration or any damage. The interior of the box, white velvet and white satin lining of the lid are in great condition, clean with no humidity age stains, holes, tears, odor, or any damage. Hinge works perfect, box opens and close as it should.
