Is a fabulous vintage Islamic Art Ottoman Komboloi, Worry Prayer Beads Strand of 19+ Imam pcs Cherry Amber Bakelite Beads. Beads are made of beautiful vintage Bakelite Faturan in an XL Barrel shape (all tested). Amber color, please note that there are no swirls, no veins and not smoke effect so please exam the photos carefully. It was hard to capture the color in the photos, there are a lot of photos under natural day-light and strong - light, Beads are a little different and i think even prettier in person.
Restrung as shown with a new cherry cord but with no tassel. Good condition with age and usage wear. Is a vintage as found untouched original example. We do not clean or polish our vintage or antique Bakelite items we have found that most collectors prefer to do it themselves. All beads and Imam have the same color. Middle strand bead and small bead are made from different Faturan mixture and both have light-permeability slight different. Middle strand bead has approx. Same shape and dimensions but edges are more sharp. Bakelite color: Cherry Amber Swirls: Not Swirled, Not Veined, Not Smoke-effect, (please see photos).Smell/Test: was Negative (-), No Smell when rubbed Simichrome/Test: (+) positive for Bakelite but with redish results (please see photos). Age approx: Late Ottoman empire period (1920-30) Cord: New. Box: No Box Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition.

Worry Prayer Beads shows signs of wear commensurate with age and use, shows wear with slight surface scratches and contact marks, but all beads are with no chips, cracks, breaks or any restoration. A few beads shows imperfections, have inclose tiny dark black materials unknown to me and tiny crater because of these, constructor faults which likely was formed during melting.
