One (1) original vintage LA FONDA DEL SOL Menu designed by ALEXANDER GIRARD. This is literally a museum piece. From the famed New York restaurant of the same name that was designed by Girard, from menus to chairs. This is such an iconic piece of design that it's part of the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (see screencap). Here's your chance to own a true museum piece.

Colorful foldout menu suitable for framing. Features Girard's whimsical sun designs on the cover. 10" x 4.75" folded (25.4cm x 12cm), 20 x 14.5 (50.8cm x 36.8cm) unfolded. Great vintage condition with no integral damage, just age-appropriate wear, as depicted, and the colors are still vibrant, which is extraordinarily rare, given that it's sixty years old and many of these have faded over the decades.

Definitely one of the best examples we've seen of this stunning menu. What makes this even more rare is that it's a "first edition" of sorts, as evidenced by the menu prices.

Both versions are incredibly rare, but this one is even more so. This museum piece seldom comes to market, so best to grab this now, because the price will only continue to go up incrementally the longer you wait.
