This is a very cool and visually stunning Antique Mid Century Modern Cubist Still Life Mosaic Sculpture, comprised of small glass and ceramic fragments, and mounted in a sturdy period wood frame. This work depicts a still life scene of various alcohol, foods, and cutlery. A large piece of cheese, bottle of wine, a knife, corn, blue glass bottles, and tall martini glasses can be seen. This work is unique because it can be hung two different ways, with each orientation showing another aspect of the work. Clearly, a lot of thought and effort went into the creation of this piece. Signed on the verso: "Pedretti" in graphite. Perhaps you know more about this artist or their work? Very good condition for age and material, with some light chipping and minor loss in a few places please see photos. Approximately: 15 1/4 x 35 1/4 inches including frame. Actual artwork is approximately 14 x 34 inches. This would be the centerpiece of any Mid Century Modern kitchen or home bar.
