This is an interesting and unusual Antique Mid Century Modern Surrealist Oil Painting on Masonite, by Los Angeles, California painter Delia Medina 1933 - 2009. This work depicts a crying moon, surrounded by a halo of rainbow colors, looking downward in anguish. A single bright star can be seen in the lower left corner.
Signed and dated in the lower right corner: Delia Medina 7-64. This work is painted with heavy impasto, and depicts a very unusual and peculiar subject. Perhaps you know more about this artist or her work? Approximately 19 7/8 x 25 3/4 inches including frame.
