This is an outstanding and bold Antique Vintage Mid Century Modern Abstract Oil or Acrylic Painting on canvas, depicting what I believe to be the two sides of the Moon, the light and the dark, or an abstracted depiction of a solar eclipse. This painting is rendered in a chunky and thick impasto in some areas and has a powerful and evocative presence when viewed. I could not find any information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about them or their work? This piece likely dates to the 1960's - 1970's.
Approximately 41 x 41 inches including frame. Actual artwork is approximately 39 3/4 x 40 inches. Very good condition for age, with some mild scuffing and edge wear to the original period frame please see photos. Acquired from a swanky old estate in Los Angeles, California.
