For your consideration is one (1) authentic, extremely rare, original EAMES chair by Herman Miller. Black fiberglass shell upholstered in purple naugahyde/vinyl on four-star base. Herman Miller logo and imprint, along with the dated paper label, on the bottom. Rare purple and black combination. Fantastic vintage condition with signs of typical, but minimal, wear.
The only notable flaws we see are a couple of white streaks (which can easily be removed with the proper cleaner) and a tiny puncture in the vinyl, as depicted. The vinyl seams are still tight, the seat cushion is soft, and the shell is structurally sound with no cracks or other integral damage. The purple naugahyde on this chair is simply stunning. As you can see from the photos, it assumes slightly different shades under tungsten light and natural daylight, but both shades are gorgeous purples.
