MCM Mid Century American Olean Ceramic Tile Salesman's Sample Store Display
Here is a rare sample kit of American Olean architectural tiles from the 1950s/60s, made in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. There are hundreds of little tile samples of all colors of the rainbow. Some are basic solid colors others are mottled and artful. This came from a modern architect's home - it was his working sample kit used in a Philadelphia office and includes some of their business cards, as well as a packet of order cards for additional tile samples to replenish those that had been given out to clients. Set appears to be complete with examples of all colors and only a very few chips missing.
