Hi, you are looking at a Rare Vintage Modernest Emaus Mexican Sterling Silver Icon Wall Plaque. This wall plaque or icon was made by "Emaus" a workshop of Benedictine Monks at Cuernavaca. It has a good look and is the nicest Emaus work I have seen. The Base is made of a Ebony stained wood & the metalwork is 925 sterling silver. I don't know if you can see but the madonna is 3-D.

The size of the board is 10 1/2 "x 7 1/2 ". The approximate size of the silver Madonna is 7 "x 4 1/4 ".
