RARE! VINTAGE Richard Nissen Denmark Mid Century Modern Teak Wood ICE BUCKET

This is a fantastic and beautifully designed ice bucket, made of staved teak wood with an brown plastic liner. The ice bucket is in very good condition, showing only slight wear and some superficial scuffs. It could stand a good polishing! I believe this was made sometime during the 1960's, and though I found a few other (Richard) "Nissen" designed objects from the same era, these ice buckets are rare hard to come by! I could not find another to compare it to!
Similar to the Dansk/Quistgaard designed bucket; this Nissen design feels more substantial, as it has a wider base and an easy-to-handle shape, with nothing obstructing the function of the lid. 12" tall and 9" diameter at the top, and weighs almost 5 lbs.
Obviously a show piece, as well as a functional accessory, this Nissen teak ice bucket will make an attractive addition to any collection.
