Thomas Rosenthal Germany ECLIPSE 30pc op art mid century graphic vintage retro
I'm practically crying as I write this description as I absolutely treasure this set, but the time has come to part ways. Up for grabs is a 30 pc, essentially 4 person (plus extras), set of porcelain dishes by Thomas (a part of Rosenthal) in the coveted'Eclipse' pattern. T Baumann & Barbara Brenner, these dishes are the epitome of minimalist modernism and indicative of both form and function. The breakdown of what the lot includes (photos are in order of the list), is as follows.
4 mugs and saucers (8 pieces). 2 bread plates 6 1/4 (2 pieces). 8 salad plates 7 1/2 (8 pieces). 4 bowls 8 1/4 (4 pieces).
4 dinner plates 10 1/4 (4 pieces). Serving Platter 14 (1 piece). Casserole/Covered Server 7 3/4"x3" (1 piece). Creamer and Sugar (2 pieces). Set is in as expected vintage condition. All decorated areas of each piece are in at least one of the photographs to show what wear is present. The set has been slowly collected over a period of several years, so some pieces may be slightly more vibrant than others however as a collective, is incredibly cohesive and impressive.Out of 30 pcs, there is minimal damage, with 3 small chips total over 3 pieces. One on the underside of a bowl, one on the underside of a dinner plate, and one on the rim of the creamer. The final 3 photos show the pieces that have these flaws.
