Vintage Black Lacquer Fan Abalone Inlay MCM Mid-century Decor Retro Asian Neat
Just a really wonderful, rather hypnotic inlay fan! I tried to capture in photos all the wonderful iridescence and the way it dartles colors out at you. The expected flight signs of wear and I did notice a small touch up in the lower left corner. If you look at my photos, you will see it is really hard to see and I think it helps with presentation and display.
I'm wondering if this is a scene from the life of Buddha or several scenes at once from his childhood. Because you think of the Deer Park and then the particular fruit he is holding seems like it might be part of a Buddhist allegory. Just a truly shimmering beauty to this and I did not see any others of this scene on here at the time I listed this.This measures approximately 22.5 inches x 14 inches. It has a hanger on the back and it is ready to go up on your wall and impress your guests with this lovely piece from another era.
